Our Services
Healing Through Connection and Evidence-Based Care
At Perspective Counseling Services, we believe that healing is a deeply personal journey. Our therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and breathwork facilitator draw from a wide range of evidence-based modalities — including medication management and clinical breathwork — to create individualized treatment plans that honor your unique experiences and goals. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
Our Therapy, Psychiatric & Wellness Services
We offer a comprehensive range of therapeutic, psychiatric, and wellness services to support your mental health and personal growth.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance-based therapy to live a more meaningful life
ACT helps you develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them. Through mindfulness and values-based action, you will build skills to live a more meaningful and engaged life, even in the presence of challenges.
Addiction Therapy
Compassionate support to break free from addiction
Our addiction therapy provides compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals seeking to break free from substance use and addictive behaviors. We work collaboratively with you to address underlying causes, develop relapse prevention strategies, and build a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.
Anxiety Therapy
Practical skills to manage and overcome daily anxiety
Anxiety can interfere with every aspect of daily life. Our therapists specialize in evidence-based treatments that help you understand your anxiety triggers, develop practical coping skills, and build the confidence to face challenges with greater calm and resilience.
Breathwork
Work with your breath to settle your nervous system and expand your capacity
Breathwork uses guided, intentional breathing to work directly with your nervous system. Slow, paced techniques such as diaphragmatic and coherent breathing engage the body's rest-and-digest response, easing the physical grip of stress, while longer conscious connected sessions open access to emotions and sensations that talking alone can't always reach. Research on breathwork points to meaningful reductions in stress, anxiety, and low mood. Every session is trauma-informed and client-led: we review your health history beforehand, you set the pace, and you are free to adjust, pause, or stop at any point. Breathwork pairs especially well with therapy, and with your permission your facilitator can coordinate with your therapist so the two reinforce each other.

Break free from negative thought patterns and build lasting mental resilience
CBT is a highly effective approach for addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. Our therapists work collaboratively with clients to identify negative thought patterns and behaviors, offering practical strategies to change them. Through CBT, clients learn valuable skills to manage symptoms, improve mood, and achieve their goals.
Couples Counseling
Reconnect with your partner and build a stronger, healthier relationship
Our couples counseling helps partners strengthen their relationship through improved communication, deeper understanding, and effective conflict resolution. Whether you are navigating a rough patch or looking to deepen your connection, our therapists provide a supportive space for both partners to be heard and grow together.
Depression and Anxiety Therapy
Evidence-based relief from depression and anxiety
Depression and anxiety can feel overwhelming, but effective treatment is available. Our therapists use evidence-based techniques to help you manage symptoms, understand underlying causes, and develop coping strategies that bring relief and lasting change.
Experiential Activities
Hands-on healing through movement, nature, and creativity
Our experiential therapy offerings go beyond traditional talk therapy to engage you in hands-on, immersive healing experiences. Activities such as creative expression and movement-based practices help you connect with your emotions, build resilience, and discover new pathways to well-being.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Release the weight of traumatic memories and find lasting relief
EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy designed to help you process and heal from traumatic memories and distressing experiences. Through guided bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your brain reprocess difficult memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge, leading to lasting relief.
Family Counseling
Strengthen family bonds and resolve conflict together
Family counseling addresses the dynamics that affect the entire family system. Our therapists help families improve communication, resolve conflicts constructively, and strengthen bonds so that every member feels supported and valued.
Grief and Loss Counseling
Compassionate support through loss and bereavement
Losing someone or something important can be one of life's most painful experiences. Our grief counseling offers compassionate support as you navigate the complex emotions of loss, helping you find meaning, process your pain, and move forward at your own pace.
Group Therapy
Find connection and support with others who understand what you're going through
Group therapy provides a unique opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences. In a supportive and confidential setting, you will gain new perspectives, build meaningful connections, and develop skills that foster lasting change under the guidance of experienced facilitators.
View detailsIndividual Therapy (Ages 5 and Up)
Work through anxiety, trauma, depression, or life transitions at your own pace — in a safe space for people of all walks of life and beliefs
Individual therapy offers a safe, confidential space for you to explore personal challenges and work toward emotional growth. Your therapist will collaborate with you to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and foster the self-awareness needed to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Understand and heal your inner parts for greater wholeness and self-compassion
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that views the mind as naturally made up of different "parts" — each with its own feelings, perspectives, and roles. Some parts carry pain from past experiences, while others try to protect you from that pain. In IFS therapy, your therapist guides you in building a compassionate relationship with these inner parts, helping you understand their intentions, release emotional burdens, and restore balance. IFS is effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-criticism, and can help you reconnect with your core sense of calm, confidence, and clarity.
Medication Management (Nurse Practitioner)
Diagnosis, medication management, and therapy from one provider
Our psychiatric nurse practitioners are advanced-practice providers who combine medical training with mental health expertise. They diagnose psychiatric conditions and prescribe and manage medication — and unlike a medication-only provider, they also offer ongoing talk therapy and psychoeducation, so you can receive both kinds of care from the same person. They see children, adolescents, and adults for anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma-related disorders, bipolar disorder, and other complex concerns, taking a whole-person approach that considers how sleep, physical health, stress, and life circumstances shape mental health.
View detailsMind-Body Bridging (MBB)
Quiet overactive thoughts for emotional balance and peace
Mind-Body Bridging is a therapeutic approach that helps you become aware of the mind-body connection and release the tension that keeps you stuck. By learning to recognize and quiet overactive thought patterns, you can reduce stress, improve sleep, and achieve greater emotional balance.
Narrative Therapy
Reframe your story to reclaim your identity
Narrative therapy empowers you to reframe the stories you tell about yourself and your life. By separating problems from your identity and exploring alternative narratives, you gain new perspectives that foster resilience, hope, and a stronger sense of self.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Therapy
Reclaim your sense of safety and move forward from trauma with expert support
Our PTSD therapy provides specialized, trauma-informed treatment to help you process traumatic experiences and reclaim your sense of safety. Using proven approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy, we support your healing journey with compassion and expertise.
Psychotherapy
Explore root causes and build healthier coping skills
Psychotherapy provides a confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with a trained professional. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches to help you understand the root causes of your challenges, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
Trauma Therapy
Heal from past trauma with specialized support
Trauma can affect every aspect of your life, but healing is possible. Our trauma therapists use specialized, evidence-based approaches to help you process painful experiences, restore your sense of safety, and move forward with renewed strength and resilience.

Get in TouchNurse Practitioner Care
Our psychiatric nurse practitioners are advanced-practice providers who combine medical training with mental health expertise. They can diagnose psychiatric conditions and prescribe and manage medication — and they also provide talk therapy and psychoeducation, so your care doesn't have to be split across two offices.

A Broad Range of Conditions

Current medication-management clients with an urgent refill need can submit a medication refill request.
Clinical Breathwork
Breathwork uses guided, intentional breathing to work directly with your nervous system. Slow, paced techniques calm the body's stress response, while longer connected breathing opens access to emotions and sensations that talking alone can't always reach — a way to deepen the work you're already doing in therapy.
Regulation You Can Feel
Slow, paced breathing engages the rest-and-digest response, easing the physical grip of stress in the moment and building steadier baseline calm over time
A Deeper Way In
When you understand your patterns but still feel stuck in them, breathwork reaches the emotions and body sensations that talking alone can't always access
Trauma-Informed & Client-Led
We review your health history before we begin, you set the pace, and you can adjust, pause, open your eyes, or stop at any point — you stay the authority on your own body
Alongside Your Therapy
Breathwork complements the work you are already doing — with your permission, your facilitator coordinates with your therapist so sessions stay intentional
What a Session Looks Like
Sessions begin with a conversation about what you're bringing in and a review of any health considerations — a few conditions, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure or a recent acute trauma response, call for a gentler approach or a check-in with your provider first. From there your facilitator guides you through breathing practices suited to that day, with plenty of room to slow down, rest, or return to ordinary breathing. Sessions close with time to settle and make sense of what came up, and you'll leave with simple practices you can use on your own.
Breathwork is available at our Millcreek office — 4455 S. 700 East, Suite 300, Millcreek, UT 84107.
