Scott Schaelling
CMHC- Intern
First, I am proud of you for seeking therapy. That shows your courage and care for yourself. Whether you feel called to work with me or someone else, you are on a good path! My ideal client is someone who is willing to seek help and to try new ways of doing things. Bonus points if you are also open to tasting exquisite chocolate! I have an extensive chocolate collection in the office, and will regularly use this in sessions as a mindfulness, grounding, and somatic awareness practice.
I employ a variety of modalities because they each offer unique and beautiful strengths. I love IFS (Internal Family Systems) for cultivating self compassion and integration, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for healing from traumatic and difficult experiences, Somatic work for deepening emotional attunement, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) for cultivating a life of intention.
Our work together can empower you to approach difficult feelings and thoughts with grace and compassion. My office is a space where you can openly talk and share about anything. I can enable you to make deeper contact with the richness of the present moment. This work can help you get in touch with what you truly care about, and begin purposefully crafting the next chapter of your life. Healing is possible.
You deserve to have a therapist that feels like a good fit for you, so please feel welcome to reach out for a free consultation. You can text or leave a voicemail at my number below, or send me an email.
